Halloween Events in and around Poinciana

October 15, 2023

Look no further, we have all the fun things to do around Poinciana for Halloween this year. Time to get dressed up and get ready for some sweets and spooks. Here we share a few local hot spots worthy of checking out.

Gatorland

On October 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th from 10 am to 5 pm is Gatorland's Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins.

The will be Gatorland's 5th year running their halloween event, and they have had time to master it. A great time for the whole family. You can visit their website, here, for more details and tickets. The event is included with park admission, and right now Florida residents receive half off tickets.

Poinciana's Trunk or Treat

On Saturday, October 28th join everyone at the annual Poinciana Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest. Located at the Poinciana Activity Center, 445 Marigold Avenue, Poinciana, FL. The fun starts at 6 pm and will run until 10 pm. The event is hosted by Poinciana's Lifestyle and community sponsored. Expect to see heavily decorated cars and vans, as well as, many smiles and spooks. This is a great family activity, sure to entertain the young ones. Last year approximately 1500 children participated. Featuring dozens of trunks, food trucks, a harvest dance party and a $1.00 haunted house, this is sure to be a good time. There is still time to sign up your spooky trunk. Visit APV's facebook page, here, for more information.

Also there are many other events happening on the same day, Saturday, October 28th. So here are a few highlights from around the area.

Boo on Broadway

Another good time is Boo on Broadway in Downtown Kissimmee. On Friday, October 27th the event kicks off from 6pm - 9pm. With plenty to see and do, visiting here will sure to bring a simle to your face. Bring the whole family out, because with all the sponsers for the event, the candy bags should be overflowing from safe and local businesses.

APV Haunted Prison

Get spooked without even leaving town. Join APV and the Haunted Prison. The jail will be welcoming new inmates from 7 pm - 9 pm. Admission is only $1.00. If you scare easy, this may not be for you and is not recommended for little children. The prison will be located at the Poinciana Activity Campus on Marigold Avenue.

On Halloween Night, for a safe family friendly enviroment we recommend Old Town. Trick or Treating at the local shops will be from 5pm - 7pm. There will be a costume contest held on the Old Town stage at 7pm.

Trick or Treating in Poinciana

Of course who doesn't love stepping out with the kids and walking around. There is something symbolic of exploring the neighborhood that you live in. Seeing how your neighbors decorate and celebrate the holiday.

If you live around the Koa area, we highly recommend the Stepping Stone neighborhood. Basically the entire Quarry Rock Circle is house after house of heavily themed decorations. You can plainly see the little neighborhood competition involved.

We also recommend nextdoor.com. Their site has a local treat map of participating homes handing out candy this year. It makes it easy to see nearby places to visit.

From all of us at Poinciana News, we hope you have a safe and happy halloween.
