New development of 900+ homes planned for Marigold Ave. Public hearing for Polk Co on Dec 6th.

Have you seen the signs on Marigold Ave in Village 6? Wonder what the next new development/more traffic is gonna be? Well read on to see how you can be involved in the future of Poinciana. On Wednesday, December 6th at 9am case number LPDP-2023-29 hits the public hearing board. Voice your opinion to the

Polk County Planning and Development Board. On the agenda is to allow 909 single-family attached units in Poinciana Village 6. The request includes 40-foot-wide lots on 335 acres. The property is located east of Marigold Avenue, north of Lake Hatchineha Road, south of Palmetto Street. The location of the public hearing is in the Board Room, County Administration Building, 330 West Church Street, Bartow, Florida should you want to be present.  

Of course this will add to the commute time of many whom live in village 7 and 8. Adding more time to what is already a long commute during the morning and evening drive, this is not the news the locals residents of Poinciana want to hear.
