Local community offers free Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

Need a good wholesome Thanksgiving meal or know a family that does? Take a look at these local events and enjoy a meal with the local community. On Wednesday, November 22nd Sheriff Marcos Lopez will be serving up a hot meal to families in need.

Located at The Rock Church, 5515 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy in Kissimmee, the lunch will run from 12:30 pm until 2 pm. Food will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and until supplies run out.

On Thursday, November 23rd in Haines City, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 34 will host a Thanksgiving meal for all veterans.

Also on Thursday, November 23rd is the 8th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Downtown. This is not a soup kitchen lineup, this is a full course, traditional meal with all the fixings. This is a free holiday meal like no other, It is chef cooked that morning, served hot and fresh by waiters.
