Drainage Repairs Closing Laurel Avenue in Poinciana for Thirty Days.

November 9, 2023

Starting Monday, November 13, a 60-day Polk County project to remove and replace a failing drainage pipe will close Laurel Avenue just north of the intersection at Marigold Avenue in Poinciana for thirty days. Through traffic will be detoured along Marigold Avenue, Hemlock Avenue, and Pine Street to avoid closure and work zone.

Local community roads can be used as shorter options for local residents and daily commuters to the Laurel Avenue Elementary School. Peak-hour traffic delays are expected. Motorists are advised to add extra time to trips in this area.

For more information regarding the project, please visit Polk County's website, here.
